Measuring Our Impact

At The Women’s Organisation, we measure our success by the impact we have on the lives of women.

National and International Awards

Naturally, we strive for the highest standards at all times, and we are constantly looking for ways in which we can improve all aspects of our organisation. So it is always pleasing to have our efforts rewarded and our high standards recognised. In recent years, we have gained an impressive number of awards and accolades, including:

Social Accounting

To accurately and impartially assess our performance, and to measure the impact we are having on the lives of our service users, we use the Social Audit Network model of social accounting. This process uses a combination of internal monitoring data and external interviews to see if we are achieving our objectives and identify ways in which we can improve. As well as analysing raw facts and figures against benchmarks and targets, we also talk to our clients, staff, board members, associates and partner organisations. This not only gives us a broad range of feedback and opinions, but also helps to keep our numbers grounded in the real lives of the people that they represent.

This information is then compiled into a set of social accounts, which are externally audited by an independent Social Audit Panel, led by a registered Social Auditor. This process provides an honest and open view of our organisation, and allows us to impartially analyse the real difference we are making through our work.
